We function as the project manager, acting as an extension of the owner or project developer, and exclusively represent their best interests, separate from the design professionals and general contractors.
A critical part of our responsibility is to understand the goals and objectives of the owner. We guide the project team towards the successful achievement of these goals and objectives, ensuring that all team members are aware of them and remain focused on their accomplishment.
Throughout the course of a project, numerous tasks and responsibilities must be addressed. While some always remain with the owner, many can be delegated to the project manager. How these responsibilities are allocated varies from project to project, depending on the resources available within the owner’s organization. One major risk to any project is the improper implementation of these tasks and responsibilities. Our role is to establish the necessary project controls to minimize and manage such risks.
We assist in sorting these responsibilities by conducting a thorough evaluation of the owner’s internal resources, then aligning those resources with the project’s needs. If required, we provide additional resources with the appropriate skill sets to complete the project team. Our scope of services is then tailored in an a la carte manner to ensure all necessary responsibilities are covered. Ultimately, our team serves as an extension of the owner’s existing staff, with our services designed to enhance their skills and capabilities.
